Time for operators to shine!

Online operations has been my bread and butter for nearly a decade.

And the tool I've used to make my living and support my clients has been ConvertKit. That all changed today.

ConvertKit is now Kit.

I've been lucky enough to have a behind the scenes look at the rebrand as part of my role at SparkLoop, and wow, I've been impressed with the entire process and the dedication of the team as they lean into the business part of their mission and not just the creating part.

They are the operating system for me and my clients.

As an Ops guy I could not be happier about this new positioning because it opens up so many doors for people just like me who may not be the face of the Creator Economy, but are instead the silent workers behind the scenes making business possible.

Looking forward, this transition to Kit and the new positioning around business means that this entire industry is maturing and ready to compete with the "real" brands.

Online businesses are taking their place at the table of having a dramatic impact on business and the daily lives of everyone who follows along.

And with that...there is a huge opportunity for operators of all stripes.

I predict that over the next decade, the most important role in most creator businesses will be the Operations Manager.

Creators are great at their craft, but in my experience need the support of even better operators.

Whether you call it the Visionary/Integrator Duo, the CEO/COO combo, or the Yin-Yang, Creator Operators will be the ones driving business for the foreseeable future.

They're the ones who get things done.

They're the ones who free up room for creators to do their best work.

They're the ones who get into the nitty-gritty to make things run smoothly.

They're the mechanic under the hood keeping automations working and customers happy.

They're the ones who will make or break the scale of these online businesses.

Thanks to companies like Kit, I am beyond excited for where the creator economy is headed and how it's finally time for operators to shine!
