3 Quick Business Wins For The Week

Published about 2 months ago • 1 min read

Hey Reader,

I'm keeping it short this week, so let's jump right into three quick wins:

1) Energy Management

Some of us are early birds. Some are night owls. And the rest somehow manage to be normal.

Throughout the day we all have periods of peak and trough energy.

Peak energy is where we perform best, and trough energy is where we're sluggish.

As you plan your day, consider planning around your energy rather than your time.

If you're like me at 8am, you'll be knocking out tasks right and left. But at 1pm it's a great time to answer emails since the energy requirement is much lower.

2) Project Specifics

If you find a project is getting stalled out, ask yourself these two questions:

Who owns the project and who makes decisions?

What are the milestones and timeline?

These two questions will give you the clarity you need to hold someone accountable (even if it's yourself).

3) Creating a Wins List

If you've ever had a day where you feel like you didn't get anything done, I challenge you to look back at your calendar, emails, and conversations.

Now develop a wins list writing down everything you did achieve.

Even small wins stack up over time, and you need to recognized that you're making progress.

And while you're at it, set yourself up for success tomorrow by making a list of your big three tasks for tomorrow.

Here's to a productive week!
